MATTHAEI-MITSCHERLICH, Frieda(1880 Berlin - 1970 Mexiko City) Porträtkopf einer Frau Metallguss bronzefarben patiniert, Steinsockel. Mit Doppelnamen bezeichnet, Gießermarke "H. Noack Berlin". H 32 / 39 cm. Psychologisch erfasstes Bildnis einer jungen Frau. Minimale Alters-/Gebrauchsspuren. Sie lernte als Privatschülerin bei Gerhard Janensch in Berlin. Bereits 1905 debütierte sie mit einer Bildnisbüste auf der Großen Berliner Kunstausstellung, auf der sie auch 1916 und 1927 vertreten war. 1914 zog sie nach ihrer Heirat mit dem Mediziner Professor Dr. Friedrich Matthaei nach Hamburg. 1930 hatte Matthaei-Mitscherlich eine große Einzelausstellung in der Galerie Commeter; 1948 wanderte sie nach Amerika aus.
