Modern stud earrings or pendants of the jour-et-nuit ("day and night") type. Historically, changeable pieces of jewelry of this type, in which suspensions could be variably attached or detached, were already produced in the Baroque period in order to achieve increased variability of wearing options with a single piece of jewelry. The name "Jour et Nuit" refers to the possibility, as well as the convention in force at certain times, of wearing variable earrings of this type short during the day and long in the evening. This pair consists of stud earrings, each with 3 prong-set diamonds, the pendants consisting of a Venetian chain and 7 prong-set diamonds each. The pendants can be attached to or removed from the studs via an eyelet.
