Classicism portrait ring in historical case.
Circa 1790-1800.
Rose gold in historical alloy under 585, tested. Ring size 51. 3.6 g.
Portrait ring with a silhouette of a gentleman from the classicism period looking to the right, under glass, set in rose gold. Signs of wear to the glass overlay commensurate with age, the silhouette presumably damaged by previous contact with water, probably an earlier reduction of the ring band.
The historical case by the royal Württemberg court jeweler Eduard Foehr (1835-1904) added later.
