Biedermeier demi-parure in original case.
Tested yellow gold 585. Brooch max. approx. 4.9 x 3.0 cm, the earring heads max. approx. 3.0 x 1.7 cm. Together 13.0 g.
Historic demi-parure (brooch and earrings) from the Biedermeier period ca. 1840 to 1850. Partially enameled in white and blue, with a setting of bezel-set red coloured stones, these probably with silver foiling on the reverse, and small seed pearls. The brooch set with a further blue stone, probably lapis lazuli. The brooch with a simple hook clasp, the earrings close at the front, typical of the period. In the original historical case. Signs of wear commensurate with age: a small loss on the inside of the brooch, this not visible on the front, the enamelling on the back of the two band elements with losses, overall some small flaking in the enamel on the front, but this is not noticeable in the overall impression.
Material use typical of the period: hollow work, especially the brooch possibly stabilized by moderate filling of the metal.
