Three pedigree book cassettes.
From 15.0 x 8.5 x 2.0 to 16.5 x 11.0 x 1.5 cm. 0.37 kg.
Three master book cassettes:
- 1x 1836 to 1841 with glazed front and back, gilt edges. A total of approx. 35 leaves with entries mainly from Havelberg, Salzwedel and Neuruppin, occasionally also Rathenow, Wittenberge, Genthin, Berlin. Probably belonging to a youth named Wilhelm, according to an entry addressed to the owner. Two entries with small plaits of hair arranged into wreaths. Enclosed a letter dated New Year's Day 1863: "Beloved grandparents! [...]" from a Minna Schultze - possibly related to Bertha Schultze (album page dated 1836).
- 1x 2nd half 19th century, green leather with simple embossed patterns and gold embossing, gilt edges. Probably not related overall, some of the approx. 14 sheets from the 1840s/50s, the majority from the 1870s, many of them from Engelschoff (Lower Saxony). Partly with small wafer images.
- 1x 1870s/1880s, brown velvet cloth with embossing, 3 leaves, then blank leaves with gilt edges. Each with small wafer image. Probably to be seen from the place names and dates in the context of the green family book case.
Provenance : From the estate of a southern German collector of luxury papers and Christmas tree decorations.
