Felix Bernhard Gustav Weiß learned the goldsmith's trade from a Carl Weiß, presumably his father, and after a five-year apprenticeship from 1821-27 kept a traveling book with entries mainly from central and southern Germany with further stays in Teplitz, Linz and Vienna, for example.
After a five-year apprenticeship with Felix Bernhard Gustav Weiß, Gustav Georg Carl Weiß (born April 30, 1829) kept a journeyman's book from 1848 to 1860, this one with significantly fewer entries and mainly entries and stamps from Weimar and the Grand Duchy of Baden.
Both with an engraving of the city of Weimar.
