Ivory, bronze (probably gilded), onyx base. Probably early 20th century. Without signature. H 38.5 cm / 30 cm. 2.95 kg.
Female dancer in a dynamic, expressive dance pose. She stands slightly bent forward on her tiptoes, while she stretches her right arm wide upward, making her cloak appear to billow through the air. On a square onyx pedestal. The ivory of the left foot is slightly chipped in several places; the left hand is attached, likely with residual gilding; slight patina formation (verdigris); the pedestal is minimally chipped, broken, and glued.
