Pendant featuring a round medallion set with 4 prongs; the obverse depicts the constellation Gemini, and the reverse features a depiction of the Greek god Apollo on his sun chariot, behind him, floating above the clouds, the goddess Nike holding a victor’s wreath. The eyelet is movable. Overall, shows slight signs of wear.
Marked with the name Giampaoli. Pietro Giampaoli (1898–1998) was an Italian medalist who, among other things, shaped the design of Italian currency from 1936 through the postwar period.
