Oil/painted cardboard. Lower right incised signature in ballpoint pen, signed/titled on verso, as well as a photograph of Paetz signing this painting straight on in ballpoint pen. Dated on verso: 1945.

View of Weimar destroyed by the war. According to his own account, Paetz painted the painting from the balustrade of the town hall, next to his colleague Engelbert Schoner.
