Riding sword with lion's head pommel.
Mid 17th century. Switzerland. Blade marked with palmette.
L 109 cm, blade width 4 cm.
Wide, double-edged, straight blade, which is very flexible. Handle with braided wire wrap, wide fist guard and thumb rest. Pommel as angular lion's head with outstretched tongue. Probably conservation treated, tip minimally bent.
