2 lacquer spectacle cases and 1 leather case.
2nd quarter 19th c.
Paper mache lacquered black and brown respectively, overpainted lithographs, leather, brass mountings. L maximum 14 cm.
Lacquer cases with leather between the lacquer covers as well as leather insert; 1x on both sides, 1x on one side with portraits of ladies. / Leather case inside with brass ornament above the inner compartments. Partly strong signs of age/use.
Provenance: the lacquer cases come from the Royal House of Hanover (Sotheby's, auction Marienburg Castle 2005, cat.-no. 2056).
