Marked indistinctly on the lock. Mid-19th c.
Palisander veneered with brass inlays, teak blind wood, purple velvet cover, glass inkwells. Closed 18 x 45 x 26 cm.
Square body with inset brass handles, cartouches and fillet inlays. Folded open to reveal a sloping writing surface above 2 hollow compartments; pen tray and 2 original inkwells above.
