German designer, painter and sculptor, based in Dresden. Studied at the art academy in Weimar. Study trips in Norway and France. Renewed studies at the State Bauhaus in Weimar. Later deputy director in the metal workshop. As a painter, mainly still life and landscape watercolors of naturalistic direction. Since 1949 lecturer in industrial design at the University of Fine Arts in Chemnitz.
