6 bentwood reclining chairs.
Unmarket. Ca. 1900.
Beech, plywood stained dark. H each 74.5 cm, seat height each approx 47 cm.
6 chairs with widely curved shoulder board, 5-fold vertically shortened backrest and smooth seat. Slight signs of age / use.
Bentwood is bent under steam by a process developed by Michael Thonet around 1830.
