In the lid company label with addresses in Paris and London and stamped no. "150043", lock panel marked with no. "022821", clasps as well as handle plates and decorative nails each marked, outer fabric on all sides with woven company logo. 1st third 20th c.
Wood, covered with fabric on the outside and inside (impregnated linen with woven pattern on the outside), iron edge fittings and carrying handles painted black, brass lock plate and clasps, wooden bumpers with brass decorative nails.
Travel chest or chest-like case with hinged lid. Inside above a hollow compartment 2 removable compartments with strap handles. Partly heavier age/use traces, red interior fabric possibly supplemented.
