Warm evening light with last red glow on the shore trees and partly brightly shining clouds with first night clouds over the horizon; in the foreground on the shallow bank a pair of deer. Minimally retouched.
Berlin landscape painter (c. 1840-1907), painted mainly motifs from the Tyrol and Styria. This work listed in the Boetticher under the No. 4 (Academy Exhibition Dresden 1874).
