Cast iron burnished and lacquered with mounted cast iron wall mount. Ø 52 cm.
Large relief plate with dramatic battle scene in the forest: the charcoal burner Georg Schmidt frees Prince Albrecht of Saxony (1443 - 1500) after the Altenburg prince robbery. On the flag circulating Renaissance vine with mascarons.
Son of the modeller of the Prussian ironworks Sayn, Johann Anton Kureck. From 1843 Johann Heinrich worked at the ironworks Mägdesprung, since 1860 court art modeller.
