Polychrome painted, gold decorated. Ø 22,5 cm.
In the mirror of the plate a landscape view with a view of the dairy of Camillo Count Marcolini, inscribed on the bottom "Vue de la Métairie de Son Excellence Monsieur la Comte de Marcolini". Hairline crack on the rim, hairline crack in the mirror.
1785-1787 bought the Meissen Manufactory Director (1774-1814) and later Royal Cabinet Minister (1809) Marcolini land on today's Bautzner Street in Dresden, to let build there, following the English model, an agricultural model estate including Vorwerk and farmyard, the Meierei. The Meierei with farm buildings, barn and coach house formed the basis for a later villa complex on this site.
