Representative, splendidly decorated, 2-winged gallery cabinet with Blender head drawer, set on 2 drawers side by side, on 4 spiral columns with foot bracing and flattened ball feet; equipped with 7 small drawers and 1 larger drawer, as well as 1 middle compartment with volute metal handles for storing curios and precious items. The hinged doors are decorated with fine marquetry in the form of a Greco-Roman ruined landscape and delicate floral vines, the side panels and drawers are decorated with mirrored vine work; When opened, the hinged doors on each side display a coat of arms with noble and count's crown (abbreviation "BZZ" and "SDZD", dated "1584" below) framed by fine three-dimensional scrollwork marquetry; the drawers are lavishly inlaid with mounts and vine work. 4 keys. Signs of age/use, restored with additions, frame younger.
As collection and representation furniture, cabinet cabinets enjoyed great popularity in the period around 1600 until the 18th century and illustrated in the sense of a Kunstkammer the "macrocosm in the microcosm - the world in the parlor".
