Strong steel tube, original fabric. H approx 84 cm, seat height approx 40 cm.
Cubic shaped design tubular steel cantilever. Strong traces of corrosion, cover faded.
The cubically shaped cantilever chair developed by Marcel Breuer and/or Mart Stam is still considered "the most famous chair in the world" and became a design model for seating furniture representing the 20th century. Mart Stam was awarded the copyrights for the design on June 1, 1932, with the following description: "[...] the strict, consistent lines, avoiding every superfluous part and embodying modern objectivity in the most concise form with the simplest means."
