Rare Art Nouveau figural group: Polish Car. Meissen.
1917-1924. model no. V 165 x.
Height: 21 cm, width: 34 cm.
Model by Erich Hösel 1917. colorfully painted. Incised mark, press mark, painter's mark, sword mark. The figure group was expertly restored, large areas covered with a synthetic resin glaze. The condition before the restoration is not known to us. Two tips, a horse's ear, man's head glued, three tips bumped.
Hösel, sculptor, studied at the Academy in Dresden. 1899-1903 teacher at the academy in Kassel. 1904 professor. 1903-1929 at the manufactory, 1912 design director * Partner auction Bergmann.
