German painter and graphic artist; during his studies he created together with Manfred Böttcher, Harald Metzkes, Ernst Schroeder and other master students between 1957 and 1958 the murals in the basement of the Berlin Academy of Arts. These works were defamed by the official art criticism of the GDR.
