Palisander? and various woods veneered. Approx. 82 x 134 x 73 cm.
Large desk (so-called "Bureau plat") with rectangular table top on slightly curved body with 4 curved pillar legs and curved architraves, above the leg recess 1 central drawer flanked by 2 small drawers, one above the other; richly decorated with floral vine marquetry and mirror veneer on all sides, accented with surrounding bronze band and bronze applications. Traces of age/use, veneer with small defects, restored with additions.
