Multifigure scene with peasant folk harvesting and processing grapes in mountainous landscape. Auctioned on July 10, 1976 at the auction house Günther Husmann in Düsseldorf. There and in "Weltkunst" old attribution to Giacomo Bassano. Illustrated in Weltkunst 1976, No. 12, June 15, 1976. canvas doubled.
If Jacopo da Ponte Bassano, then: also Giacomo. Italian painter, son of Francesco da Ponte il Vecchio. Pupil of his father and later Veronese in Venice.
