Silver, brown leather box, inside velvet and silk. Ø 5 cm. 60 g.
Obverse portrait relief with circumscription "Friedrich Wilhelm III Koenig von Preussen" as well as signature of the stamp cutters. Reverse in oak wreath "For rescue from danger". On the casket old ink inscription: "July 3, 1880". Somewhat tarnished, slightly stained, minimal traces of cleaning. Case with signs of age / use.
The commemorative medal for rescue from danger was introduced in 1833 by King Frederick William III.
