View vase "Friedrichshafen" and gift letter.
Unmarket, 1st half 19th century
Polychrome painted, gold decorated. Vase (h 26 cm), gift letter (14,5 x 18,7 cm; in passe-partout frame 29 x 31 cm).
Crater vase with two mascaron handles and round foot;, on square plinth. Gold background, on the outside a rectangular cartouche with the inscribed view of Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance with a view of the former Hofen Monastery / Friedrichshafen Castle. With letter of donation (partly pre-printed with handwritten inscriptions): "Privy Councillor Baron von Neurath honors himself in consequence of the highest command of His Majesty the King His Excellency to the Court Chamber President von Ergenzinger as a souvenir of His Majesty the immortalized King Wilhelm the following object taken from Höchst his estate no. 594.595 of the inventory two gilded porcelain vases with a view of Friedrichshafen [...] with the most humble request to acknowledge for this in the enclosed list. Stuttgart, October 28, 1864". Gold partly rubbed.
