Tobias with the Archangel Raphael
Plinthe and base of oak, figures probably oak, each polychrome painted, angel with glass eyes. 18th/19th c. H Raphael 64 cm, H Tobias 34 cm, total 76 x 43 x 28 cm. 8,6 kg.
Guardian angel group with individually fully sculpted sculptures, each standing side by side on its own pedestal. Little Tobias holds the fish in his hand, while the angel leads him on the other hand on the way home. Some missing and glued spots, dry cracks on the angel and his plinth, frame gone over, strong frame damage.
