Müller was a German painter and graphic artist who was self-taught in the 1930s in Munich at the Pinakothek. He was a freelance artist from 1937, but was banned from exhibiting just one year later. From 1950 he was based in Koblenz and became increasingly involved with printmaking techniques. From 1949 to 1979 he regularly participated in the exhibitions of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Pfälzer Künstler and became a member of the Neue Pfälzische Gruppe. In the following years, his paintings and graphic works were increasingly shown in Rhineland-Palatinate or in the national Frankfurt area. Internationally, his works found favor in Paris and Seattle. His oeuvre is characterized by a stylistic pluralism, in which he extremely alienates real objects.
