Model by Friedrich Eberlein 1748. From a series of five figures: hearing (ears), smell (nose), taste (tongue), face (eyes), feeling (skin), colorfully painted, gold painted. Unglazed base, press marks, washed-out blue sword mark with star. Vase, flowers, an arm, fingers on a hand, décolleté, a shoulder, back stole, column plate, column foot, cupid and base partially restored, partial fire cracks.
Eberlein, sculptor and modeller, since 1735 as Kaendler's second sculptor and collaborator at the manufactory. Meissen manufactory price: 12000, - Euro * Partner auction Bergmann.
