Model by Friedrich Eberlein 1748. From a series of five figures: hearing (ears), smell (nose), taste (tongue), face (eyes), feeling (skin), colorfully painted, gold painted. Unglazed bottom, incised mark, painter's mark, sword mark. far tube, beak tip bumped, lantern restored, partial small fire cracks, glaze defects.
Eberlein, sculptor and modeller, since 1735 as Kaendler's second sculptor and collaborator at the manufactory. Meissen manufactory price: 12000, - Euro * Partner auction Bergmann.
