Cuirass for officers of the line regiments.
Around 1900.
Nickel-plated sheet iron, brass, leather, fabric. H approx. 55 cm.
Silver-colored harness with scale chains, ending in oak leaf appliqués and sculpted lion heads on the back. Edging with triple ribbing. Black waist strap probably original (repaired). Interior padding present, with sweat stains. Comes with a sash of silver thread (black, silver) with yellow lining. Relatively light workmanship. Some minor tears at the edges, occasional solder spots, one flat rivet on the shoulder part missing.
