Je gouache with embossed gold paper framing, cardboard ground in a glazed gold stucco frame. Painting 6 x 5 cm, frame 20 x 18 cm.
The merchant and Saxon consul in Hamburg Christian Gottlob Emanuel Frege (1779 Marseille - 1811 Dresden) married Henriette Charlotte Printz (1783 Hamburg - 1834 Boizenburg). Painting partly brownstained.
