Very large baroque water stand.
18th century
Copper, tinned inside, brass ring handles and hinge pins, iron holder inside. H 59 cm, Ø 65 cm (each without handles). 20.5 kg.
Water container with flared foot, conical body with martelling and cabinet seam as well as leaf-shaped attachments for the ring handles. Hinged lid with copper handle and baroque curved hinge tabs; fixed lid section with 3 hooks. Very finely chased coat of arms on the lid (ram/shank rising from the tower/house) and monogram "AB" and date "1768". Old traces of soldering on the foot, crack on the shoulder, small cracks on the hinges, some signs of age/use.
