Sceptre mark and penny mark, 1849-1870. Without painter's mark.
Polychrome painted, decorated in gold. H 13.5 cm.
Cup with crater rim, rosette handle and three paw feet. The front with a gold-framed rectangular cartouche depicting a peasant couple and a monk in a boat at evening prayer, with the island monastery in the background against a mountain backdrop, after the 1838 painting by the painter Christoph Christian Ruben (1805-1875). Minimal gold wear to the paw feet.
