Enclosed expertise by Dario Succi, excerpt: "Questo splendido dipinto [...] rientra certamente nell'ambito di quel notevole gruppo di decorazioni floreali attribuite a Francesco Guardi (Venezia 1712-1793) da vari autorevoli studiosi dell'arte veneziana del Settecento, come Giuseppe Fiocco, Rudolfo Pallucchini, Antonio Morassi, sulla base di argomentazioni stilistiche, come la leggerezza delle ariose composizioni costruite con pennellate, sfarfallanti, campite su fondi brunacei o grigio-azzuri e spesso arricchite da inserti di vasi ceramici, uccelli, cesti di vimini e piatti inclinati posti su basi rocciose."
