Blade marked: King's head and crown "W.K&C" / back of blade: supplier's signature "Louis & H. Loewenstein, Berlin". 1910. prussia.
Blade L 80.5 cm, total L 99 cm.
Straight, single-edged blade of Damascus steel, two narrow fullers in the front half only. Lower half with pronounced etched decoration and monogram "FR III" under crown, blade blued, remnants of gilding. "The chief to his officers July 24, 1910". Brass hilt with oak leaves in relief and a monogrammed eagle in the guard plate. Monogram on the flat pommel: "CCC" (Duchess Charlotte of Saxe-Meinigen, head of the regiment from 1897). Ribbed grip with triple wire winding (heavily worn), the ruler's monogram applied once more. Comes with a lanyard and carrying strap. Black metal scabbard with a suspension ring. / Grenadier Regiment King Frederick III, 2nd Silesian No. 11, Breslau 1801.
