Saxon gala sword with foreign currency.
Saxony.
Blade L 72 cm, total L 85 cm.
Narrow, double-edged blade with octagonal cross-section. Engraved and partially gilded pattern with the following inscriptions: "RECTE FACIENDO NEMINEM TIMEAS" / "HONNI(sic) SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE" and "Nec temere, nec timide", divided on both sides of the blade. Gilt hilt with crowned Saxon coat of arms. Clasp in the shape of a dolphin. Grip with wire winding. Black leather scabbard with hook. Scabbard not included, last inscription slightly damaged by scabbard.
