Straube, painter, draughtsman, graphic artist, studied at the academy in Berlin. Pupil of Josef Scheurenberg. 1898-1929 taught, 1898-1909 in Koblenz. Regular stays in Paris at the Académie of Henri Matisse, 1915-1917 at the academy in Stuttgart, student of Adolf Hölzel, 1918-1924 active in Berlin. Traveled to Italy, Spain and North Africa * Partner auction Bergmann.
