Gorochov, genre, portrait, still life and landscape painter, watercolorist, father of Ivan Ivanovich. Studied at the art school in Moscow, pupil of Vasilij Grigorevich Perov, Vladimir Egorovich Makovskij and Evgraf Semenovich Sorkin. Resided in Beli again from 1888 and in Mozhajsk from 1896, teaching since 1912. Member of the Moscow Society of Art Lovers and the Petersburg Artists' Society.
