Goethe, 1749 Frankfurt am Main - 1832 Weimar, ennobled in 1782, one of the most important creators of German-language poetry. The bust made by Christian Daniel Rauch in 1820 served as a model, Posch completed the model in Weimar in 1827. Including the catalog raisonné "Leonhard Posch" 1750-1831, portrait modeller and sculptor by Anne Forschler-Tarrasch. Published by Willmuth Arenhövel, Berlin 2002. 284 pages with around 1050 illustrations.
Posch, wax sculptor, medallist and sculptor. 1766 in Salzburg, pupil of court sculptor Johann Baptist Hagenauer. 1772 at the Possier- und Gravier-Akademie in Vienna. Active in Vienna from 1774 and from 1804 in Berlin, 1810-1814 in Paris, then back in Berlin. 1816 full member of the Berlin Academy * Partner auction Bergmann.
