Enclosed various documents. Including the small catalog for the artist's personal exhibition in Suhl from 5.4. to 29.8.1990 and the catalog for the exhibition of the Academy of Arts of the GDR from 1986 as well as numerous photos of paintings by the painter and an exhibition opening. The painting was part of the Berlin exhibition of 1986 and is mentioned in the Berlin exhibition catalog on page 101 with dimensions and year. Few paint chips.
German painter, student at the Kunstgewerbeschule and the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts under Ferdinand Dorsch. Worked freelance from 1924 and belonged to the circle of friends around Karl Kröner and Paul Wilhelm. The Nazi regime refused to appoint him to the Dresden Academy. During a bombing raid on the city of Dresden in 1945, his studio in the Polytechnic School on Antonsplatz was destroyed and the artist's work up to that point was almost completely destroyed. He had numerous solo exhibitions and participations in exhibitions from the 1920s onwards and was represented at all German Art Exhibitions and GDR exhibitions in Dresden from 1946 to 1988.
