Artist in Erfurt, studied in Dresden, worked at the Städtische Bühnen Erfurt and the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar as a theater sculptor, freelance from 1980. 1979-1986 Lectureship in "sculptural design" at the Museum of Prehistory and Early History of Thuringia in Weimar, founding member of the cultural association "Mauernbrechen". Numerous works in public spaces, especially in Erfurt (e.g. Bismarck bronze statue on the Anger).
