About 1840. probably Austria.
Mahogany veneered. H approx. 82.5 cm, 48.5 x 40 cm.
Elegant rectangular sewing table on fluted central support with octagonal base; finely decorated with mother-of-pearl inlays and brass inlays; inside without compartments; label "Schlossmuseum Altenburg, Inv.-Nr. SM 1505". In need of restoration.

Provenance : From Thuringian aristocratic property. Restitution property with inventory number of the Altenburg Residential Palace, formerly part of the von der Gabelentz family collection at Poschwitz Castle.
