Presumably Albani, Francesco (1578 Bologna - 1660 Bologna) workshop. Half-length portrait with an ointment jar, long loose hair and red robe, her emotions are movingly depicted. Profiled frame 18th century. Partially insignificantly restored.
Mary of Magdala on the Sea of Galilee in the Holy Land, companion of Jesus, the first to meet the Risen Christ, patron saint of women and sinners, patron saint of the Spanish town of Viana and the Italian town of Cavareno, commemorated on July 22.
