Leickert, landscape and veduta painter, studied at the Academy of Drawing in The Hague, then a pupil of Wijnand Nuyen and Andries Schelfhout, in whose style he painted landscapes. He worked alternately in The Hague, Amsterdam and Mainz. Contemporary critics took offense at his repetition of motifs in different sizes and variations * Partnerauktion Bergmann.
