Probably a proof for the literary-artistic magazine "Licht und Schatten", which was published in Munich and Berlin from 1910 to 1916 as a competitor to Simplicissimus and was illustrated by renowned artists such as Ernst Liebermann, Lyonel Feininger, Alfred Kubin, Käthe Kollwitz and Emil Orlik.
German-American painter, illustrator and graphic artist. He is one of the most important artists of the first half of the 20th century in Germany and was the first master to be appointed by Walter Gropius to the newly founded Bauhaus in Weimar in 1919. He is still considered one of its most important representatives today.
