"Shalimar" perfume produced from 1925 with faceted walls and blue stopper / "Chamade" in inverted heart shape / Flacon marked "Parure" with opaque base and wavy stopper / Large bottle with label "eau de toilette shalimar". / Large flat round bottle labeled "Chamade, eau de cologne".
Shalimar (Persian: the purest of all pleasures) goes back to the Shalimar Gardens in Pakistan, which the Indian Emperor Shah Jahan had built for his great love Princess Mumtaz Mahal. Raimond Guerlain designed this flacon based on the pools of water in this garden. This flacon design was the first with a base and colored crystal stopper.
