Flatweave in kilim technique, composed of individual strips of fabric, wool dyed in natural colors. Approx. 120 x 68 cm, 119 x 327 cm, 119 x 330 cm.

3 carpet fragments with diamond-patterned striped bands. 2 fragments with a final narrow side with knotted fringes. 2 striped kilims sewn together in the center and with hooked edging, small kilim sewn on 3 sides and with round eyelets. Signs of age, defects, some water damage, long edges partly sewn over, repairs.

A part of the fragments from cat. no. 2905. Aalholm Castle has stood on an island in the Nystedfjord for almost 1000 years. From 1300 it was the seat of the royal sheriff and belonged to the royal crown until 1726. In 1734, it was acquired by the Raben-Levetzau family, who owned it until 1995.
