2 lidded vases in Viennese style.
Imitation bandage mark, 2nd half of the 19th century, old label of a London dealer on the underside. Signed "K. Heer".
Polychrome painted, gilt. H 20.5 cm.
Ovoid body with two angled handles, pommel lid and round foot, on a square base. Cobalt background with fine, floral-ornamental gold and jewel painting, on the front a rectangular cartouche with mythological depictions, inscribed on the underside "Theseus findet das Schwert (...) Vaters." and "Die trauernde Ariadne.". Both lids restored, minimal gold abrasion in places.
