Felmer, L.: Publisher of copies of Roman glass based on models in the Mainz Museum. Took over his father's glass and porcelain shop in Mainz in 1867. Excavations of well-preserved Roman glass in Mainz inspired Bernhard Ludwig II to commission and sell replicas. In 1890, he published a catalog with two undated supplements. Glasses from this production were exhibited and awarded prizes at the world exhibitions in Chicago in 1893 and Paris in 1900. Felmer retired in 1902 and closed his business.
